Max’s community trip to Zambia 2024

Hi everyone, Max has been fortunate enough to get a place on the community trip to Zambia in 2024, organised by his school (Woking High).
This trip will be beneficial both to Max and also to the local communities in Zambia. During the visit, he and his schoolmates will be working with the local community, teaching them various sports including tag rugby, helping them improve their language skills and they will also be helping out in the local towns and villages and in schools.
It will be a once in a lifetime and amazing experience for Max, and will hopefully leave a lasting impression and positive impact on the communities he and his schoolmates will be interacting with.
Part of the experience is for Max to raise his own funds for the trip, the cost of which is in excess of £3000. He’ll therefore be raising funds through various activities - he’ll be doing jobs (gardening, car washing etc) for various people in his local village of Horsell.
But as the major fund raiser for this experience he and his dad (Ade) will be trekking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in September 2023, all in one day. This is a 24 mile trek with 5’200ft of vertical climbing, all in a 12 hour period!
