Help Bring My Dad Back Home

On January 24th, 2025 my father was taken into ICE custody.

As one can imagine, this has been immensely heavy on my family and myself. Having to speak to him over a phone that has horrible connection. Listening to his stories of being afraid for his safety, feeling alone and missing home. Driving 2 hours back and forth to visit him at the detention center. If I’m lucky I made it just in time to secure an open spot to see him that day. (other times I am too late) After waiting in my car for 2 hours, it’s finally my turn to see him. I can hug him but not for too long. Before I know it my time is up and it’s time to go home. I get to go home and he has to stay there - a detention center.

After 3 long months of hardships and court date pushbacks, my father was finally granted bond. Thankfully my family was able to gather the funds for a lawyer to represent my father, but we were left with not much too spare. Whatever was left was given to my mother to pay rent, buy groceries, now that my father, the main household provider, is not there…

I understand these are tough times and we are all struggling in our own way, but if you could find it in your heart to donate anything, my father, myself and the rest of my family would be forever grateful. Please help us bring him back home. Thank you.
