Warrior Foundation Freedom Station Eagle Project
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Max Scott. I’m a Boy Scout from Troop 271 in San Diego, California. Over the past year, I have been planning my Eagle Scout project for the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station in San Diego.
Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a nonprofit organization that assists military men and women who are transitioning from military life to civilian life. These warriors are either seriously injured returning home from war, suffering from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI), undergoing physical or occupational therapy, or are being medically retired and will remain a part of the San Diego community. The foundation has two Freedom Stations – transitional residential living communities where warriors live among one another as they prepare for the next chapter in civilian life.
For my project, we will be installing window boxes with flowers onto the houses at Freedom Station II. This project benefits the wounded, ill, and injured warriors of Warrior Foundation Freedom Station by enhancing their morale and sense of community. It provides a beautiful addition to their transitional housing that promotes recovery, independence, and hope for the future.
Your donation will go towards paying for the cost of all the materials, supplies, and tools that will be used for the project. The window boxes will be installed on June 18th, 2021. Any funds left over will be sent directly to Warrior Foundation Freedom Station in the form of a donation.
I would really appreciate it if you would consider donating to my project. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions before you donate. Thank you!
