Max Mallett's Eagle Scout Project
Donation protected
Raising funds for my Eagle Scout Project which restores and revitalizes a sports athletic field for undocumented children living together and away from their families in a residential program at Abbott House. My project includes building five benches and two picnic tables, creating and installing a scoreboard, and chalking lines on a soccer field which is their primary place for outdoor recreation. The raised money will also help with the purchase of new soccer goal nets.
Abbott House is a non-profit organization that serves homeless, neglected, and
developmentally disabled children and adults. Its Therapeutic Residential Care
program houses approximately 50 undocumented children at a time who either entered
the United States without their parents or were separated from their parents upon entry
to our County. Abbott House cares for these children until they can be reunited with
their families.
Any funds raised over the cost of the project will be donated to Abbott House.
