- Hello, My name is Rita Gothup. I am starting this fundraiser to assist my friends Max and Donna Kremer. They are long time residents of rural Gratiot County. Their children attended Ashley Schools. My dear friends are in their late 70s and live on a fixed income. On October 10, 2022, their farm truck and contents, were stolen from their home. The thefts have been reported, but there is very little hope that the truck will ever be located. Max has Parkinson's Disease, and it affects his mobility. He used this vehicle daily to drive back and forth to the wood lot where he cuts firewood to heat his home and to the woods where he hunts to provide meat for his family. Max has always been a hard-working man and would never dream of asking for help, but I am asking on his behalf. Being able to get back and forth to the woodlot safely is of vital importance for the well-being of his family. I hope to raise enough money to assist them in purchasing another farm truck. I understand that times are difficult for many people right now, and I appreciate that not everyone may be in a position to donate. I would kindly ask for prayers for Max and Donna as they navigate this challenging time in their lives and to thank you for any prayers or donations you may be able to give.
