One of our M/I Family members needs us. Kathryn Bond (Ops Manager for MIF Indy) has a daughter, Charlotte, who is a survivor of the awful fires that quickly raged through Lahaina on the island of Maui. She was given 4 minutes to grab what she could to get out of the way of the fires. Her home and whatever she could not grab is lost to the fire.

Charlotte has been a resident of Maui since 2019, except during Covid. She is a boat Captain and a Naturalist on whale watching expeditions boats. She also ran a variety of excursions like sunset cruises and snorkeling adventures for Sea Maui.

Charlotte is still in Maui, working thought the red tape to wrap up loose ends to come home to Indiana and her mother.

Charlotte is a smart, caring, and beautiful human being who will need a minute to digest this awful experience. Even then, she has never stopped thinking of others and what they need in this time of crisis. She kept her tips in a cash box at home that she donated to a Captain who was buying and delivering gas and diesel fuel to those using generators until power could be restored.

I am asking for your prayers, support, and donations to help Charlotte start over.

She has no home, no job, no insurance, existing obligations and all the things she has not even thought about yet.
