Aloha! My name is Suzi, and I’m a passionate student midwife based in the UK. I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Maui, Hawai’i to work alongside a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting families, maternal health and strengthening midwifery care in the local community.

This isn’t just a trip—it’s a wonderful learning experience and opportunity. In Maui, I’ll be assisting with community outreach, childbirth education, and supporting local families with compassionate, culturally sensitive care. This experience will not only shape me into a more skilled midwife but will also allow me to give back to a community that is working hard to preserve traditional birth practices while facing modern healthcare challenges.
