Hi, my name is Matthew and my family needs you! Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to use my PTO and floating holidays last month because I was sick and unable to work which was followed up by medical bills. The company I work for does not offer any kind of paternity leave except an unpaid leave of absence. When baby comes the end of February we will be going from $2K to $0 income if I stay home for 2 weeks. Come what may I will be staying home for two weeks, but from what other new fathers have told me that is hardly enough time. My wife and I would like me to stay home for 3, if not 4 weeks to allow for proper healing of the new mother’s body as well as soaking up the time everyone has told us not to waste a second of. Not really knowing what will be needed of me, part of my plan is to get things done around the house during weeks 3-4 and finish getting a side hustle going to replace Hannah’s income. If we do this we will go from $4k to $0 that month, which would be a huge setback for our family. As a husband and father my first priority is my wife and my children, so any donation would be greatly appreciated.
