Matthew Needs An Accessible Van
Donation protected
The Croutch Family is reaching out once again to our amazing community to support Matthew – a brilliant author, loving son, and resilient man living with cerebral palsy.
Earlier this year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $5,000 to purchase an older, decommissioned wheelchair taxi. It was a start, and we’re deeply grateful — but unfortunately, the van is in poor shape. The heat doesn't work, and as we approach another harsh Canadian winter, that’s becoming a serious concern.
This vehicle isn’t just uncomfortable — it’s unsafe. The lack of proper heating could put Matthew’s health at risk during even short trips. This also means cancelled outings, missed medical appointments, and more isolation during the coldest months.
We need your help to raise funds for a reliable, safe, and accessible wheelchair van — one that actually works, with proper climate control, secure tie-downs, and room for his wheelchair and support system.
This isn’t just about convenience. It’s about dignity, safety, and the freedom to live life fully — whether that’s going to the doctor, showcasing his writing, or just enjoying a day out with family.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign again. Every dollar brings us closer to the van Matthew truly needs.
If you prefer to make a purchase that supports Matthew directly, please go to: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0DWNF8XP7?binding=paperback&qid=1754406797&sr=8-1&ref=dbs_dp_rwt_sb_pc_tpbk to support his work as an author and to support his writing career.
Thank you for standing with our family.
