Matthew George Lofthouse
Hi everyone, i am sure most of you who has followed our journey so far are well aware of who we are honouring by raising money in his name. And for those who haven’t been following us on social media, we are raising money in the name of Matthew Lofthouse. Last year we raised over £7,500 and split this between the Autism awareness charity and The Albion Church in Ashton. Both very close to Matthew’s heart !! We also bought plaque's and planted tree's in the Memory of Matthew.
This year, we are raising money for our community, the heart of Tameside. All in the name of the legend Matthew Lofthouse.
Matthew was the most caring, kind, generous person, who was often referred to as the gentle giant. He stood up for those who needed him, and he never let words get him down. He was an inspiration to so many.
Photography was his passion, he loved to make people smile. He worked in journalism, the NHS and even for the local Tesco. He never let his differences affect him.
So we are continuing to carry on Matthew’s legacy, and raise money in his name.
We are hosting our 2nd charity white collar boxing event ‘Picture the Punch 2’ this event will be held on Saturday May 10th. Which would have been Matthew’s 31st birthday. So let’s celebrate in style!
Once again, most of the fighters are friends and family of Matthew, they will be head to head, in what will be a night to remember.
