Those that know me understand that I don't like to ask for money, I don’t charge for my High School photos, but I have a problem! My main lens is down! I knew it was on its last leg, but I was hoping for a little longer.  I have decided that this is hopefully a onetime request, I need to replace the 70-200mm lens. I am hoping for enough to get to the next level in MatSuSports photos. A 100-400 mm lens would greatly increase my outdoor capabilities for fall and spring sports. 

In 2004 I was approached by a local high school coach who asked if I would take action photos of his team. I had just purchased my first DSLR and was not even sure how to use it. I decided to try it (with no guarantees) and HawkSports (later to become MatSuSports) was born. Since that time I have gone through 6 cameras, a couple of lenses, and many hours of time doing what I have come to love. I have just over 1.5 million photos on MatSuSports.net, which are viewed around 7 million times per year.

I would like to give as many the opportunity to donate as possible, regardless of how much. While I don't want to discourage any from donating higher amounts, I don’t want to be beholding to any one school or sport.

There is a sense of urgency on this request. Until I can replace my professional lens, I will be forced to use a kit lens that will not work for indoor events, and would be limited for outdoor events.
