The Danú Project is a volunteer-led organisation focusing on providing maternal, mental health and youth supports for people living in direct provision.
Maternity Kits
The maternity kit project is where Danú started. With it, we provide moms and families expecting babies with the essentials needed for the months pre and post birth.
This includes maternity wear, newborn clothing, nappies, information sessions on the Irish health system and much more! Each kit is tailored to the individual's needs.
We rely on GoFundMe donations and physical donations to put these kits together.

Ongoing parent and child supports
We are also running pilot programs for ongoing supports which will cater to children from 0 to 4 years of age. This will include the provision of nappies, formula, toys and clothing subject to fund availability. Our first run of the ongoing support program saw over 300 families reached, but it's still early days! We hope further funding will allow us to do this more consistently.
