Maternity Bereavement Suite CUMH
Donation protected
Hi everyone I am running the Dublin City Marathon in memory of my niece Bláithín. Bláithín was born an angel in Cork University Maternity Hospital in February 2021.
My incredible sister and her family are in the midst of creating a space within the hospital dedicated to supporting families like theirs who will experience infant loss.
This bereavement suite will ensure families can process their loss in a safe and empathetic environment.
October is pregnancy, infant and child loss awareness month: a time when we stop and reflect on all the families who have lost their babies and aim to raise awareness of their grief. With this in mind, improvements and changes within the hospital environment are required. Please show your support in memory of our little flower Bláithín any way you can, it is greatly appreciated.
With regards to the funds raised, I will withdraw these to my own account and transfer to CUH Charity, I have been in contact with Monika Seidel who is head of Development and Marketing at CUH Charity. She has confirmed there will be a presentation with a cheque at CUMH to celebrate the funds we have raised. Thank you all for your contined support!
