Mason and Gabrielle Hinz welcomed their baby girl, Lainey Nicole, into the world on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Lainey was immediately transported to a level III NICU center as she was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck several times. Unfortunately, due to the complications surrounding Lainey's birth, Neonatologists determined she may have suffered hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

While in the NICU, Lainey suffered a small seizure, and has undergone newborn therapeutic hypothermia treatment. Currently, Lainey is struggling with persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN). At this time it is unknown how long Lainey will remain in the NICU.

We know Mason and Gabrielle would never ask for any assistance by themselves, but we are hoping this GoFundMe can help them and their beautiful family with financial worries. Food, gas, and travel expenses to see Lainey in the NICU, caring for their children at home, and provide assistance for any future needs Lainey may need should her care extend for a longer period of time.
