Facemask Make & Give
Donation protected
Health care workers in the Ottawa/Gatineau region are currently facing a shortage of protective medical equipment. They are already rationing supplies to make sure their needs can be met. We’re all hoping supplies will be available in time to meet the expected rapid increase in demand.
As a last resort, if surgical masks are not available for health care workers, they need a contingency. Life More Simple has begun coordinating materials, local seamstresses, and getting these reusable facemasks made. Your donation will help cover the costs of materials and production so we can offer them to health care workers in need at no cost. For every $10 you donate, one mask will be provided at no charge to a health care worker in the region.
These funds are needed urgently. Health care workers are taking great risks at this time to protect and care for us and our loved ones, we want to have their backs. The best-case scenario is these masks won't be needed because enough proper protective gear will be available to meet everyones needs. But if that's not the case, we want to have these masks ready and available for them as a contingency.
This is a nice opportunity for our community to pull together and help support our health care workers.
All hands on deck!
