Hello friends and family. As most of you know, our baby girl Masina was admitted to UCSF Children’s Hospital in Oakland on 12.16.19 for her lung collapsing, and went home to heaven on 01.14.20. Masina had aicardi syndrome and was mostly blind, epileptic and had developmental delays, among other things. What we thought was going to be a routine follow up appointment ended up being the start of a very long hospitalization.  Her respiratory problems continued to worsen until she was no longer able to fight, and lead to the loss of our 19 month old daughter. Though it hurt to watch her in her last hours, she was kept comfortable and left in the most peaceful way she could.



Dominic and I have a lot of details to figure out and feelings to navigate through while trying to plan a beautiful service for Masina. Funeral expenses are a little out of our budget and we have other financial obligations to take care of, including bills, insurance payments, hospital fees, car repair fees, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and a little goes a long way.
