H2OpenDoors provides water purification technology to villages and schools throughout the developing world. The provision of safe drinking water allows women and children to go to school rather than fetch water every day. The water plants we install provide 10,000 people with a gallon of purified water every...single...day!
We are now preparing for the Masai Mara. The women have been subservient to the men since the 15th Century. But in July, we'll be helping them to establish a water enterprise to be run solely by the women. They will even be hiring some of the men to help distribute 5 gallon family bottles throughout the region. The women will be in control of the money raised and will decide on how their communities will spend it. Nutritional programs for the children, latrines, even college scholarships.

This proud tribe of thousands throughout East Africa sill soon become twice as strong with the elevation of women. And the male elders are all for it!
