Marys River Grange Hall Needs Support!
Donation protected
Really.
A recent foundation inspection revealed that one of our foundation supports is failing and needs to be replaced. The estimated cost of repairing and installing a moisture barrier to prevent future issues is $33,000.
We will be saving, fundraising, and applying for grants, but this is a massive cost for us, and we could use all the help we can get. So your donation of any size will be greatly appreciated. You will not only be helping with the restoration of our Hall but also helping our rural community.
We have worked to ensure our Hall remains a mainstay of our community. We have replaced the leaking roof, remodeled the bathrooms, upgraded much of the wiring, replaced a kitchen oven, refinished the floor, added storage, remodeled the connecting room, added a new wood furnace, stove and pellet stove, upgraded lighting, remediated mold issues, and more. We want to ensure our Hall continues to serve Philomath and the outlying areas for another century.
In addition to serving as the home of our Grange, our Hall is or has been used for Yoga, classes, low-cost medical clinics for farmworkers, community conversation projects, concerts, movie nights, game nights, community fundraisers, dances (including a High School Homecoming dance), dinner theater and inexpensive rentals for family and group celebrations and festivities.
Marys River Grange has come a long way since almost closing in 2009. Our community rallied, and today, Marys River is the second-largest Grange in Oregon, with 114 members, a State of Oregon Honor Grange and a National Grange Distinguished Grange.
Marys River Grange works to support our community by supporting and partnering with such organizations as Ten Rivers Food Web, Friends of Family Farmers, Oregon State Extension Service, Philomath Community Services, Benton County Cultural Coalition, Oregon Humanities and local farms.
Thank you!
