My name is Tocarra Edmonds, and I am raising funds for my mother, Mary Edmonds, who has been courageously battling a broken workers’ compensation system for over six years.
Mary was injured while working at IHOP, suffering a fractured wrist, torn ligaments, and a re-injured neck. Instead of receiving proper treatment, she was denied medication, misrepresented by her attorney, and ignored by the system that was supposed to protect her.
Here’s what happened:
• Her first workers’ comp doctor denied treatment and falsified records.
• Her attorney resigned after she refused to accept an unfair settlement, then placed a lien to block her from finding new representation.
• Court transcripts were altered, and her evidence was never considered.
• She uncovered proof of unethical payments between attorneys and documented corruption within the process.
• She even recorded a doctor’s visit where he falsified medical documents — yet her complaints were ignored by the North Carolina Medical Board.
For over six years, Accident Fund Insurance Company and their attorney have dragged out this case, crippling her from receiving benefits she deserves. Mary has filed grievances with the Georgia Bar, North Carolina Medical Board, and even reached out to Congress and government officials, but justice has not been served.
This fight is no longer just about Mary — it’s about every injured worker who has been silenced, ignored, and abused by a system without proper checks and balances. Mary’s case exposes how judges, lawyers, and doctors can work against the very people they are supposed to protect.
