Hello Everyone!
As some of you may know, this year I am doing the New Wine Discipleship Year based at St Paul's Ealing. This has been such an incredible gift of an experience. I am so grateful to be here in such a loving and welcoming church community.
As part of this year I have been given the opportunity to visit and see the work of RedTribe, a charity that works with the Maasai Community in Southern Kenya. RedTribe has been working to support the Maasai community for over 10 years. Their heart and aim is to bring God’s Kingdom to the Maasai through Education, Healthcare and Income Generation. Over the last 10 years they have established the Maasai Academy, a beadwork enterprise to empower women, a health clinic, water projects, mentoring, farming, and infrastructure development. These projects have provided education, employment, healthcare, and other vital resources to the Maasai people. However, the community has been especially affected by periods of flooding and drought as a result of climate change and there is lots of work left to be done.
From Monday 9 June to Thursday 19th June, I will be able to travel to this incredible community to witness the work of RedTribe first hand. During my visit there will be lots of opportunities to get involved with the Maasai Academy, helping with games, arts and craft and discipleship with the children. There will also be the chance to help with food planting, building and water projects that are in the community. As well as sitting and learning the craft of Beading and doing Bible study with the Maasai women in the Beadwork Project.
This trip will be such a privilege for me to experience and any donation to help me get there, whether big or small, is so greatly appreciated.
