Marye was placed in lovely care home in Placerville end of March and then passed 11 days later. Marye was in a mental state in happiness in her new home - she expressed her happiness often as Johnr did Reiki and breathwork with her. He felt she was truly in her usual joy bubble in her final days. She passed peacefully and gracefully.

Johnr still needs our support. He had been instrumental in Marye’s care since 2019 which then became a fulltime job the past two years. In addition, Johnr used $20K+ of his own money for respite care providers and for her final expenses as well as suffering a loss of work.

My name is Donna Bosshardt Abreu and I am launching this GoFundMe for my client and friend, John R Davidson for the unconditional love and care he has given to his friend, Marye Heaven.

Johnr is an amazing human being and soul. Johnr gives back to this community in so many ways…

* He has volunteered for 7 years as a cofacilitator at FREED for the Healing Through Loss and Grief program

* He has been a member of The Mankind Project international organization since 2003 for his own growth and to support other men on their healing journeys

* And for the last two years, he has given care to his friend Marye Heaven as her primary care giver, as Marye has no children and outlived her entire family

Marye’s advanced Aphasia and Alzheimer’s conditions (detailed below) have progressed to where it is unsafe for her to remain in their home as she wanders off even when her caregiver is using the toilet. She cannot speak in full sentences, has been bladder incontinence for 2 years, bowl incontinence for 6 months, needs assistance with every minor self-care detail, and most urgently requires 24/7 care.

Johnr has blessed Marye with his support and care for two years now and cannot manage any further. His own financial, physical and mental wellbeing is being compromised…

* He can’t take on a job and has to hire in-home care for Marye in order to do odd part time jobs.

* He tabled his dream to pursue an independent coaching business in grief healing two years ago right after he hired me to build his website (http://GoodGriefHealing.net to learn more about Johnr ‘s work and story).

* He continues to pay for Marye’s expenses which have currently amounted to $16.5k to providers, $3,500 to pay off her car loan, $2,500 for a contract with a local mortuary for Marye’s final expenses. And he has suffered the loss of working to make ends meet.

Johnr and Marye need support. It’s time now for Johnr to receive - for all the love and service he has given to Marye and our community.

He is working diligently and patiently with the LCSW from the Alzheimer’s Outreach Foundation for Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley to find a permanent Skilled Nursing Facility for Marye where she can get the care and social interaction she needs. The waiting lists are long and Johnr continues to provide for Marye’s care in the meantime.

Marye's condition:

* Aphasia

* Long term diabetes needing glucose monitoring and daily insulin injections

* In 2020 Marye was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment

* In 2022 the diagnosis became Major Neuro Cognitive Disorder with markers for Alzheimer’s

* Current markers of advanced Alzheimer’s and Aphasia

Marye’s Background:

Long time friends of Marye will remember her as a hair stylist platform artist, teaching the latest hair styles on elevated platforms in gatherings of 300 or more stylists at conventions.

Or as a top ranked amateur golfer,

Or a top ranked amateur tennis player,

Or an Ethan Allen interior designer,

Or a hypnotherapist,

Or a massage therapist,

Or Higher Guidance Angel Coach,

Or Rainbow Reiki Master Teacher.

In her nearly 20 years in Grass Valley as a hair stylist, Marye imbued healing and self confidence in her clients at the shampoo bowl. Her clients all loved her very much.
