Can you spare a minute to hear how you can help Mary?

This is Mary’s mom and I’m fundraising on Mary’s behalf to hopefully help her get past the ongoing car issues she has faced recently. Some of you know the debacle Mary has been experiencing with her newly purchased car but many do not.

Mary acquired her VERY FIRST new (to her) car in September. If you had ever seen her old car you would agree it was long overdue!! And being a new business owner having a reliable car is a must. After owning the car for only two weeks she was rear ended on Harbour Bridge and her car was wrote off. Unfortunately, because it was such a new loan, the payout from her insurance was not going to be sufficient to pay off her loan. Her dad encouraged her to buy it back from the insurance company so he could fix it for her. The damage was really fairly minimal since it was all at the rear of the car. While she was waiting for the insurance to finalize her request and release her car, it was stolen from the Carstar parking lot. It was found by police abandoned several days after it had been stolen. In addition to the original damage the windshield had been busted, the doors had been gouged, a tired had blown, and the base pan was split so it’s safe to assume it was run dry of oil. Nobody ever reported the car stolen from Carstar. Obviously now she will not be buying the car back but the insurance company is really dragging their feet on reversing the initial request. And even if/when they do Mary will still be left without a car but still a loan to pay ,making it difficult, if not impossible to purchase another vehicle. To say this has been an unbelievable chain of events would be an understatement!! And we all know how frustrating and frightening it is to have no control over one’s circumstances.
