Help Mary and John start a new life in America!

Hello Friends and Family! Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in helping our Sudanese neighbors, Amam and her children, get to South Dakota last year!

Shortly before the family's departure for SD, Amam's mother Mary arrived in Florida from the Kenyan refugee camp with her son John and were placed in an apartment in Clearwater. John is 6'5" and currently working in a cabinet shop. Mary is the grandmother, and unable to work. They have not asked for much, but I have been taking John to get Mexican food (they love Chipotle) and Mary to medical appointments for blood work, physical, mammogram, and chest and shoulder x-rays for pain she still suffers from an accident in Africa.

But recently they received an eviction notice from the apartment. Either their organization stopped paying or they lost their funding? Now John and Mary are ready to move to be in a community of friends and family. They have chosen Sioux City, Iowa. There is good meat-packing jobs there and low rent. We can buy their plane tickets, luggage fees, and other needed expenses for about $1000. They will leave on March 21st. If you can help this amazing, hard-working, kind, and sweet family launch into the world, that would be great appreciated!!

Amam and her three children are now settled in Sioux Falls. Duot, the oldest, is working at Amazon, got his driver's license and now owns a car!!! Athok is in high school and Yar is working at Wendy's. They have not asked for help since they arrived, the last of the funds were used to pay their first month rent and send them winter clothes. I speak to them often and they are managing everything on their own!

You are donating directly to the family needs--we will buy their tickets and pay for all fees and travel expenses. Any left over I can put directly into John's Chase Bank account. He is so excited to have a bank card. In a world in crisis, you can see it doesn't take much to make such an impact on their future.
