Martinez Family Hurricane Helene

Hi all,

My parents bought their beautiful Florida home in 2017 in Madeira Beach. I was a junior in highschool at the time and I’ll never forget feeling so proud of my parents working so hard to make their dreams to live in Florida a reality.

In 2019 I graduated highschool and was able to turn my dreams into a reality as well and I couldn’t have done that without my amazing supportive parents. My mom and I made the big move and began to live our best beach life. My dad quickly followed 2 years later and We’ve been living happily together since experiencing all of our favorite things in the Tampa Bay Area.

Unfortunately Hurricane Helene came and our community and surrounding communities were heavily affected. It is Devastating. The area experienced 7ft of storm surge waters. It’s hard to even fathom all of the damage. It’s heartbreaking seeing something your parents have worked so hard for experience so much loss. Unfortunately All of our items inside the house are gone and cannot be recovered, appliances, clothes, shoes, jewelry, furniture, pictures etc.

This money will go towards to help us get back on our feet and to start the process of making our house a home again.

Everyone’s prayers and kind words mean the world to us and we can’t thankyou enough.
