As a family of five, Rebekah is eager to change her active "job title" of #boymom to a more simple, #mom. Alongside Rebekah and loving husband Gamaliel; their three fun and spunky boys, Caleb (9), Isaac (6) and Lucas (3) are ready to add bows, sparkles and tutus to their mix of dinosaurs, superheroes and bugs! This beautiful dream of adoption evolved after facing multiple heart-breaking miscarriages throughout their 13 years of marriage. After long months in deep prayer and counsel, the Martinez family is stepping out in obedience and faith to open their hearts and home to adopting a daughter! They have completed the final steps of the adoption process and now are anxiously awaiting placement with the birth mother.
But why the desire for a daughter and sister for the Martinez home? Growing up, Rebekah admits that one of her most prized relationships was and still is with her younger sister, Abby. Rebekah treasures the years of secrets, laughter and comradery they have shared together and she too, desperately wants her three sons to experience the same bond and connection with a little sister.
How can YOU help make this dream become a reality? There are two simple ways you can help in partnering on this exciting endeavor:
1. Prayers for spiritual, physical and emotional provisions for the birth mother and Martinez family
2. Consider giving financially to the Martinez Family Adoption Fundraiser! When you generously give; your contribution will go towards meeting the required goal of $40,000 and will strictly being used for only the following adoption expenses:
• Adoption Application
• Agency fees
• Home study fees
• Attorney fees
• Counseling for birth mother and/or birth family
• Advertising and outreach to community
• Medical expenses
• Birth certificate
• Post placement costs (second home study)
• Court costs
