Marshall Fire Disaster Relief Fund for Louisville
Donation protected
On December 30th, the Marshall Fire devastated our beloved hometown of Louisville, Colorado, destroying everything in its path in a matter of hours. Although we are thankful that our home was spared, many in our community were not so fortunate.
When our family first moved to Louisville 4 years ago, we rented a home in the Harper Lake neighborhood. That home and hundreds of others are now completely gone. The picture on this page is that of our former neighborhood. The devastation is beyond comprehension.
Imagine for a moment your family having to evacuate in a matter of minutes, then losing everything literally overnight. Your home, your clothing, your family photos, your heirlooms, your children's Christmas toys and in many cases your beloved pet. Everything gone. This is what hundreds of families have gone through.
Now imagine the power of the generosity and kindness of complete strangers to help these families slowly get back on their feet, one small step at a time.
We are establishing this GoFundMe page on behalf of the numerous families that are too humble, too prideful or too shocked to ask for monetary support. These families were our former neighbors. 100% of the proceeds will be withdrawn into our bank account and then distributed via cashier's check to support families who we know personally and who are facing a significant and unprecedented need. The funds will be used by the families to purchase clothes , furniture, household items and toys that were destroyed by the fire.
Any donation amount is so very much appreciated. Thank you for supporting our friends and our wonderful community of Louisville.
