Marsden Scouts are moving... Please help us!

People of Marsden, please help to support the young people of the village!

With the closure of the United Church, where the 14th Huddersfield Marsden Scouts have had their HQ for many years, we are now looking to relocate to The Band Room. In order to make the rooms available safe for our young people, we need to make several alterations, such as providing new safe means of access / egress and fire routes, some minor electrical work and improved toilet facilities. We will also be knocking down some walls and redecorating to make it a pleasant environment for our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

We will be running several fundraisers over the next few months in and around the village. This site is an easy place for parents / carers, grandparents and friends to donate money towards upcoming sponsored walks and fundraising events.

We know many families in the village have benefitted from everything the scouts offers over the years. We therefore ask anyone in the local Marsden community to contribute either money via this page, or any goods or services which may help us, so that our amazing Scout Leader volunteers can continue to run fun and safe activities for the village's children each week in our new HQ.
