We are hoping with this fundraiser, we can raise enough money to help with cost of medical supplies and equipment as well as other supplies needed in the future. All things changed for Marlene Sylvie Miron last November 2018 when they found a malignant tumor on her fight pelvic bone. By January 2019, she started having daily treatments of radiation and chemotherapy for 6 weeks. By the beginning of March she was working with a physio therapist to try and ease and heal the pain in her right leg. Due to the fact her tumor was pinching on her sciatic nerve, it was swelling her right leg and foot which would make it difficult to walk so she had to use a walker. The pain sometimes was unbearable and she would at times feel angry for her situation but the worse was yet to happen. On Sunday, June 2nd, she went out on the deck to bring in some plants so they don't freeze and next thing you know, she lost balance and fell hard to the ground. She went to the emergency and doctors ran their tests and they discovered she had badly fractured her hip leaving no bone to reconstruct a new one. This means, she will no longer be able to walk again and be bound to a hospital bed and wheelchair for life. Very devastating news for her and the family. They also told her throughout some of the CT scans they ran, they noticed her tumor had grown by 1 cm which leaves doctors with uncertainties as to what to do. We know for sure, she will always have cancer but their goal is to try and shrink this tumor as small as they can as well as give her the ease and comfort to better her quality of life. And that's why, with this money raised, we can buy the supplies, equipment she will need and give her the comfort in her own home with her family so she can feel accepting of the big change in her life.   She has too much to live for and she's a fighter. She has an amazing, loving family and friends....lets get together and help her!!! :)
