Hi everyone!
I have decided to take the next step in my transition and begin taking hormones. I am so excited for this next chapter and the changes it will bring. However, there is no guarantee that I will still be able to have biological children after I begin this process. Sterility is very possible. So, I have decided to listen to some people I trust very much, and ask for your help.
I have always wanted children. I know adoption is a good option, but I would like to try and have genetic children one day. Though I can't forsee this in the immediate future, I know that if I do not store now, I will deeply regret it when I am ready to have kids.
I am planning on utilizing a renound and trustworthy storage bank in Manhattan. It is $1600 for the screening, and then it is $700 for the first 2 years of storage. This is why my goal is $2300.
After a lot of research, this is the best storage facility for me. Believe it or not, it is one of the least expensive options I have found. My preference is to store locally in NYC and not have to ship the specimen across the country. This is the most affordable option I have found to do that.
I never expected this to be so unbelievably expensive. If I could afford it, I would never ask for help. I am a very public, extroverted person - but even for me, this feels very personal.

The time to ask is now, before I begin this medical transition. I have to shine light on a personal moment in my journey to attempt a happy future for myself.... and for a little "Irene" someday.
The other night when I was suffering from insomnia at 4:57am, I had the thought:
"I must let people know what I need and ask for their help.
I must see myself as deserving of their help."
I'm still working on that. But I know that your generosity has the potential to secure me a family one day. Nothing is more important to me than that.
I will never find the words to thank you if you do decide to give. Your contribution will mean the absolute world to me, and hopefully, my future family.
