Hello! My name is Mariia Anhelovska. My young son and I arrived in America in March after fleeing our war-torn country in Eastern Europe.

Adjusting to a new life in a new country, without the assets I had to leave behind when we fled, has been challenging. I am very motivated, however. Recently, I received my California Driver’s License/Real ID, of which I am very proud. The next step is to secure a full-time job, but without a car, this has been difficult.

I recently found a used car that is inexpensive and serviceable. I am asking for your help in trying to purchase it. I hope to raise a minimum of $5000.
