Marie Josephe Rayappun needs your urgent support

Care for thy parents with love and respect, for you will only understand their full values when you see their empty chair. Compassion invites you to relate with people differently because you no longer regard them as a drain on your energy. Many adult children are so busy growing up that they forget that their parents are growing old at the same time. A wise man once said, 'the person you grew to be is not a virtue of coincidence but an admirable reflection of the values, hardship and grits that the parents initially instigated and we have been blessed upon'. My parents took care of me and now it is time to reciprocate my gratitude back to them. Such is a cycle of life.

James Rayapen’s mother, namely Marie Josephe Rayappun came to Melbourne from Mauritius for a visit and spend time with their grandchildren.

Throughout the course of her stay, her health progressively deteriorated which saw her spend months in hospital undergoing various medical tests and being under high observation for an extended period of time.

She was admitted to Monash Dandenong Hospital for a couple of weeks late July before being transferred to Monash Clayton Hospital for further investigation. She was hospitalised for four weeks and was discharged late August.

Furthermore, she relapsed and was admitted to Monash Clayton Hospital after a scheduled day procedure. Thankfully, she has been discharged and is recovering slowly at home.

Despite having a standard health cover with Bupa which would barely scrapped by, we anticipate that due to her complex medical diagnosis and extensive journey at the hospital, there await an astronomical financial burden in excess of AUS $80,000.
