Hi everyone,

We are Evie and Marianne, two student nurses from the University of Galway volunteering with Brighter Communities Worldwide this summer! We’ll be traveling to Kenya for a month, where we’ll be working in hospitals, administering vaccines, assisting with patient care, and supporting local healthcare teams.

In addition to our nursing work, we’ll also be installing stoves in homes as part of Brighter Communities Worldwide’s initiative to improve health and safety by reducing smoke-related illnesses.

We need your help to make this possible! €2,000 of the funds raised will go directly to the charity, supporting vital healthcare and community projects. The remaining funds will help cover essential costs like flights, accommodation, vaccinations, and other travel expenses.

Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference—not just in getting us there, but in supporting the incredible work happening on the ground in Kenya.
