Mariana's Summer Retreat with Joni & Friends

Hello! My name is Tara Ramirez and I am fundraising for my daughter, Mariana (aka Mari), and myself (as her caretaker) to attend the Joni and Friends summer retreat in June 2025. Joni and Friends envisions a world where every person with a disability finds hope, dignity, and their place in the body of Christ. Mariana was born with physical and mental disabilities that affect her everyday life, and for her to attend a summer camp that caters to kids with disabilities is priceless as summer camps and programs don't. She won't have to worry about "fitting in," or having limitations on activities because she physically or mentally cannot. She can just be her happy, wonderful, silly self!

The Joni and Friends Retreats are held in an accessible camp environment that provides inclusive worship, Bible-based teaching, age-appropriate fun activities, and time to cultivate meaningful connections with other families who experience similar challenges. The heart behind the retreat is to provide opportunities for families to be cared for by a supportive community, be encouraged by the truth of the Gospel, and to walk away rejuvenated because they have experienced the compassion God has for each and every one of them… no matter their ability.

All money raised will go towards the cost of our admission to the camp and towards Joni and Friends programs. Your donation will be tax deductible. Will you help us get there? I want Mariana to see and believe that even with her disabilities, she can still have the same opportunities and experiences that kids without disabilities have and meet children she can relate with - Joni and Friends makes this happen!
