Hello,

My name is Katerina and I live in Switzerland. I am married and we have a 2 years old son... My struggle for fairness, justice and humanity made me supportive of the cause of Palestinian people many years ago... During this horrible war, I met Marah and her beautiful family and here I am fundraising for them. Because they deserve to live with dignity as everyone else in this World!

Marah, her parents Subhi and Sawa, and her siblings Ahmed, Nisrin and Amale are in need of help. In the difficult circumstances they live in more than a year , they are exhausted and everything gets more and more difficult...

During summer months the heat in their tent had been unbereable, Subhi, the father in the family, is having breathing issues and for him the summer heat was extremely difficult and dangerous without a proper care. Now, winter is around the corner, living in a tent doesn't make it any easier. There is just this thin plastic sheet between them and the cold wind and the humidity... It is unimaginable... Not knowing when they can take a shower, how they will wash their clothes, will they be able to buy some food and medicines, will they be able to fetch some drinking water... Many questions with no answer every single day...Adding to this and the never ending displacement, the fear of the bombs, the uncertainty of tomorrow...

But despite this they are always hopeful, always smiling... Marah started school, it is not "normal " school so to say, but in one tent a teacher is giving lessons which Marah attends happily...

Every time, Marah calls me, she is always smiling...

She is just one 16 years old girl dreaming for better life...

Her story in her own words, below:

"Hello, I am Marah from Gaza. I am 16 years old. I had big dreams and ambitions. This war came and deprived me of a full year of education and living in safety. I also have a beautiful family. They are deprived of their beautiful lives and dreams.

My father and mother are elderly and need complete care in a quiet atmosphere and comfort, but the occupation deprived us of everything and everyone. My siblings are also having their dreams and ambitions. This war, we lost all our dreams in this war.

My family and I suffered greatly for a whole year as we were displaced and migrated from one place to another. Our displacement began in shelter schools, until the occupation came to Khan Yunis and forcibly expelled us from it. Then we were displaced to Rafah, where the pain continues, the pain continues, and the diseases continue. A very difficult life, and in every displacement we need a large amount of money for displacement and displacement.... Oftet we walked on foot because we are poor and do not have anything, not even means for transport and in every displacement we lose all our belongings, and then we begin a new displacement journey and buy from the beginning everything new, and our last displacement was here in Beni Suhaila area, but the occupation every now and then asks for evacuation. We are tired, oh world. Do not leave us. My family and I need you. Support us. Please, I am in need for continuing my education and fulfilling my dreams, like your children. Do not leave us. We are human beings like you. Please support us and do not leave us. We need your support. ❤" - Marah Abu Raida
