Maria & Mike's Big Shave for Toby

Late last year my nephew, Toby, was diagnosed with a rare form of pre B cell acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Toby is currently receiving intensive chemotherapy to beat this disease and in the coming weeks will be having a bone marrow transplant.  He has been lucky enough to find a donor in his 9yr old sister but the operation is still not without significant risks as with all such procedures.

My brother and his family are far away in Australia and never has the distance felt so great.  As I can't be there to give support in person, I wanted to do something to show Toby he is always in my thoughts so I decided to shave my hair in support. Not wishing to miss out my husband Mike has decided to join me in this endeavour and shave his head also !

Although Toby's treatment plan has changed along this journey Toby, Chris, Ros, Holly and Archer remain as positive and strong as ever.   The money that I hope to raise  will be for the whole family, as all of them have been affected by this terrible disease.   Primarily it will be for Toby's rehabilitation and education, as well as assisting in every day costs as mum Ros has now left work to become Tobys main carer.  Chris and Ros are also trying to ensure that Archer & Holly have as normal a life as possible whilst Toby is fighting his battle.

At the end of treatment Toby has also mentioned he would like to go and watch his favorite football team, Millwall,  play a match back in the UK with his family.  I would like to help make his wish come true and ask that you dig deep to support an everyday family going through this awful time.
