Good evening - though this is not the way I would have wanted to introduce the heart of my cousin’s family, the joy and life of all gatherings, the kindest and most gentle spirit you could ever come across; it's now with a heavy heart that I share with you mi tia Maria Ines's story .

Mi tia quietly began her cancer journey January of 2024 and over the last few months due to rapid disease progression she has been hospitalized for the better part of 2025. This extensive hospital stay has greatly impacted their dual income compromising their ability to tend to household obligations with no end in sight; leaving their four children to pick up the pieces in their absence.

Unfortunately, in this short period of time her health has significantly declined, and the time has come to focus on providing her with peaceful, compassionate end-of-life care in-home.

As we navigate this difficult time, we want to ensure that mi tia is as comfortable as possible and her family just as supported during this difficult transition. Your donation would help free them from mundane worries and additional upcoming expenses as a working income remains non existent at this time.

Mi tia has always been a loving, generous person who touched so many lives with her positive energy, kindness, humor, and contagious laugh. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her and her family just as she has for many others over the years. Buenas noches. Aunque no es la forma en que hubiera querido presentarles el corazón de la familia de mis primos, la alegría y la vitalidad de todas las reuniones, el espíritu más amable y gentil que puedan encontrar, aqui me encuentro compartiendoles la historia de mi tía María Inés.

Mi tía comenzó su lucha contra el cáncer discretamente en enero de 2024 y, durante los últimos meses, debido a la rápida progresión de la enfermedad, ha estado hospitalizada durante casi todo el año 2025. Esta prolongada estadía en el hospital ha afectado en gran medida sus ingresos duales, comprometiendo su capacidad de atender las obligaciones domésticas sin un final a la vista, dejando a sus cuatro hijos a cargo de recoger los pedazos en su ausencia.

Desafortunadamente, en este corto período de tiempo, su salud ha empeorado significativamente y ha llegado el momento de centrarnos en brindarle cuidados paliativos y compasivos al final de su vida en casa.

Mientras atravesamos este momento difícil, queremos asegurarnos de que mi tía esté lo más cómoda posible y que su familia reciba el mismo apoyo durante esta difícil transición. Su donación ayudaría a liberarlos de preocupaciones mundanos y gastos addionales que estan por venir ya que ingresos laborales siguen inexistentes en estos momentos.

Mi tía siempre ha sido una persona cariñosa y generosa que conmovió a tantas personas con su energía positiva, amabilidad, humor y risa contagiosa. Ahora nos toca a nosotros estar presentes para ella y su familia, como ella lo ha hecho para muchos otros a lo largo de los años. Cada contribución, por pequeña que sea, marcará una diferencia significativa para brindarles la atención y la paz que merecen en estos momentos difíciles.
