Maria Helgason's Cancer Fight

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting Maria’s go fund me.

To begin, we’d like to share some news for those of you who have had the privilege of knowing her. Maria is definitely the most selfless person anyone has ever met to date. She quite literally will give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, and those who know her, know that. Tragically, Maria and her family have been hit with the reality that is pancreatic cancer, in an aggressive form that seemingly came out of nowhere. Her whole family is hunkering down to help her fight the ultimate battle for her life.

Maria is the mother to two beautiful kids, one of which is still school aged. Her and her family are surviving on one income as she has tried to continue working but alas, she is unable to focus on her health on top of a physically demanding job. As most of you know, she has been a bartender in the Jupiter/PBG area for many years. She started her career in the area at Jettys and Kee Grill, where she served hundreds for 10 long years. She also was employed at Off The Vine for 3 years, PGA National IBAR for 10 years, and most recently The Riverhouse/ Bricktops.

She is a wonderful bartender with a notable reputation as being someone with a true work ethic. She loves to help in her community and she has such a bright soul that puts smiles on faces everywhere. But now, she needs our help.

We would be so blessed to receive donations to go towards her treatment so she can fight this disease. 100% of the funds will be used to get her the care she needs so she can focus on healing instead of the financial stress that this may be causing her.
