Estamos en la mitad de un evento sin precedentes, una etapa de recogimiento y de mucha angustia e incertidumbre para algunos. Otros somos privilegiados de poder tener estabilidad financiera y paz, a ustedes me quiero dirigir porque siento que es nuestra responsabilidad hacer algo al respecto. Me conmueve mucho algo que está ocurriendo muy cerca a mi casa en L.A.: La terrible situación que enfrentan cientos de familias en la frontera de México con Estados Unidos.


En estos momentos, la situación para ellos es muy precaria, con un grado de vulnerabilidad y exposición al COVID-19 realmente peligroso. A Tijuana se le llama “zona de guerra” por el caos en los hospitales debido a esta pandemia! 
Queremos continuar con esta misión, llevando básicos de protección pero también asesoría legal, educación y capacitaciones! Junto con THIS IS ABOUT HUMANITY & APOYEMOS A TIJUANA queremos ser los mayores contribuidores a una iniciativa que TRIPLICA las donaciones (cada institución iguala la cifra donada, logrando potencializar el impacto) para conseguir estos suplementos médicos básicos que tanto se necesitan!

We’re in the middle of an unprecedented season... a time of uncertainty for many, of suffering and loss. But some of us are lucky enough to be stable and have a peaceful quarantine, and this is my call to YOU, as it is our responsibility to help those in need. I’d like to address something that's happening very close to my home and that really resonates with me: The terrible situation the migrant families in the US-Mexico border are facing. Inside Tijuana emergency rooms and hospitals, defeated health care professionals are working double and triple shifts, without the equipment they need, as their colleagues fall sick, one after another. Patients are being treated in receiving areas and lobbies while doctors and nurses say they lack the staffing, ventilators and testing to properly care for them. They call it a “War Zone".

We want to be a part this mission, so we joined forces with This is About Humanity which is teaming up with “Apoyemos a Tijuana” to launch a 2:1 matching grant campaign to raise $150,000 for frontline responders at the U.S.-Mexico border. They will match every dollar donated up to $50,000 - triple the impact!!! Join me in supporting this important campaign to provide critical medical supplies to these communities! !
