Maria has been fighting for the safety of her girls for the last two years after fleeing her ex husband’s house for good. She has spent her whole life’s savings on legal support, fighting to show the courts in De Soto County, Florida, what she and the girls have lived through.

Recently the girls (ages 5 and 6) spent two weeks of unsupervised time with their abuser. The girls are safely home with Maria at this time, but the fight is far from over. Many resources are needed for her to continue battling for the safety of her children.
