The Coronado family and friends would like to thank everyone who made donations to help with Margarita's recovery. Although we did not make the goal we were still able to raise a very good amount for her and we are exceedingly appreciative and grateful of you of all. She has come a long way and is now in much better condition. Unfortunately, those responsible for her accident have yet to be brought to justice. The most important thing is that Margarita is alive and well. Thank you so much for your contributions.

We all know Margarita, she is a beloved figure in our community and she serves us all every weekend with her positive vibes and constant smile!

As she was wrapping up her day, she was waiting for the walk sign on Stanton and Missouri when a car driving the wrong way hit her while making a u-turn, causing a broken hip and rib, as well as other damage, bruising and scratches.

The black SUV took off and just left her there.

She is in stable condition now, but will be left with hospital bills, recovery expenses and more as she won't be able to walk for a couple months until her bones heal and she completes her recovery.

We know how much her presence helps every weekend and how much she'll be missed, and we get to give back and help her and her family during this difficult time.

The Coronado family and friends would like to thank everyone who has donated so far. I apologize that I could no longer thank each person individually that made donations in the beginning; it brings us so much joy that so many people have shown their support for Margarita. She is a strong, resilient woman. Once more, thank you for supporting Margarita.

Todos conocemos y apreciamos a Margarita, como nos llena de felicidad cuando la vemos, siempre contenta, siempre positiva!

Al terminar su día, estaba en la banqueta esperando cruzar cuando un carro que venía en sentido contrario se da una vuelta en "U" y al subirse a la banqueta y le pega a Margarita causando fracturas a su cadera y costilla, al igual que otros golpes a su cara y cuerpo.

La camioneta negra se fue, dejándola sangrando y en dolor.

Ya esta estable pero con cuentas a pagar en el hospital, gastos para su recuperación, y costos diarios de vida dado a que no va a poder caminar por un par de meses en lo que se recuperan lo huesos y termina su terapia.

Sabemos cuanto su presencia nos ayuda a nosotros cada fin de semana, y cuanto la vamos a extrañar, ahora nos toca contribuir y ayudarle a ella y a su familia durante estos tiempos difíciles.

Me disculpo por no poder agradecer más a cada persona individualmente que hizo donaciones al principio; nos da tanta alegría que tanta gente haya mostrado su apoyo a Margarita. Es una mujer fuerte, resiliente. Una vez más, gracias por apoyar a Margarita.
