The Marcus Starks family in rural Lamar County has been without water for a couple of years and now faces the loss of a disabled son to a group home unless their well is fixed. An effort is underway to help the family receive county water from Lamar County Water Supply; however,  a grant application could take a year or more. An immediate fix of the well will suffice until grant funds can be secured. Through social media, many people have offered support after a newspaper article reported the family's situation. It is my hope this GoFundMe account will serve as a means for providing that support.
