Join us for Courage Day 2022!
October 9
Hank Dietle's Tavern
2:00-5:00pm
Donate via this page, the charity link below, or bring it to the event (cash, checks and Venmo accepted). Last year we raised over $7k; this year, our goal is $10k. We are raising money to benefit MarCIA Courage In Action, and any amount will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for contributing. If you plan to be at Dietles, leave a note in your Words of Support. [edit: Parking lot is not suitable. Too many hazards so no pickleball dinking contest but plenty of pickleball people!] Join family and friends plus your fellow Garrett Parkers (Marcia Weiner (m Cohen) was a native of Garrett Park from 1966 to 1985 and lived close to the PO.) at Dietles on Sunday, October 9 from 2:00 to 5:00.
MarCIA Courage In Action promotes awareness and community with courage by taking action to share and discover new possibilities in the fight against cancer. We are committed to creating support to the cancer patient and their families through our three (3) Courage programs. 1. Courage Bags contain a collection of items hand selected by Marcia to provide comfort for those headed to their first and follow-on treatments. 2. Courage Meals are prepared and distributed to ease the burden of meal prep and cooking. 3. Courage Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing higher education in integrated health with a focus on cancer patients.
