Walking for Awareness, Walking for Change
Earlier this year, Lewis’ wife received a life-altering diagnosis — a large meningioma (a type of brain tumor) that had been silently growing, with symptoms that were repeatedly dismissed as "just part of a woman’s cycle."
That moment sparked something bigger.
We launched Marching for Meningioma (MfM) not only to raise funds, but to raise awareness — so that women and girls are empowered to push for answers, to persist with their GPs, and to trust their instincts when something feels wrong.
The Challenge Begins: October 31, 2025
We’re kicking things off with our first charity walk —
♀️ 82 miles along the Essex Way, from Epping to Harwich
All in fancy dress, as we aim for a Guinness World Record along the way!
But that's just the start.
Next, we’ll be taking on our main event — a 200+ mile ultra-walk. It’ll test our limits, but it’s nothing compared to the daily battles faced by those living with brain tumors.
Who We're Walking For:
We’re proud to support two incredible charities doing vital work:
BrainsTrust: https://brainstrust.org.uk/
AMNET – Acoustic Neuroma and Meningioma Network: https://www.amnet-charity.org.uk/
These organizations provide life-changing support, fund groundbreaking research, and advocate for earlier diagnoses.
