March for the Hood
"March for the Hood" is, a student led protest, to raise awareness of the importance of investing in Black communities. We demand the city of Chicago to invest in Black communities. Lack of investment accelerates issues such as: gun violence, youth detainment, and mental health issues. With the COVID-19 epidemic, minority communities are being disproportionately affected. This protest not only plans to raise awareness for this local injustice but also hopes to act on it. With the school-year approaching, March for the Hood is donating school supplies to Chicago students, as well as masks/hand sanitizers to try to reduce their chances of getting infected. After the march we will also donate youth led organizations that advocate for urban communities. We are asking that you please donate to help us help as many children in need as possible.
