Marcella is an 80 year-old woman from Nova Scotia, Canada who suffered a major loss during one of the worst storms in her town's history. The remnants of Hurricane Matthew brought 110 MPH winds and nearly 10 inches of rain in a 24 hour period on October 10, 2016.
Marcella and her sister were in her house without power when suddenly half of one side of the house blew off and then the entire roof blew away. She now has an ocean view through the gaping hole on the side of her house. And this happened on her 80th birthday!! Luckily neither one of them was injured but they were very shaken up, as you can well imagine. Her house is now condemned and she has no insurance and doesn't know what they are going to do.
I am a friend of Marcella's from Rochester, NY. and I visit Nova Scotia often. We are seeking funds to help Marcella and her sister get back on their feet. Your donations will help them obtain housing and replace what they lost in the storm. Marcella is very humble and proud, but she is very appreciative of everyone's willingness to help and the help she has received so far. Thank you VERY much for your generosity.
