I’m running my first marathon on Dec 7 (California International Marathon in Sacramento!).

I’m not just doing this to stack more miles (mileage is king) but also to support the work of a friend, Tin Nguyen. He is providing pro-bono legal representation to Southeast Asian refugees who have been deported to third countries such as Eswatini and held in prison without charges or basic due process. I have known Tin for over 15 years, and he has also helped many of my friends and colleagues going through the threat of deportation.
