Hi my name is Ricky Blaxill. I’m setting up this go fund me page as I am running the London Marathon next month to support my friend Neil Ridewood (Ridders) and his family who really need our help. He is a devoted husband to Marika and a loving father to his two sons James and Jack.

I’ve known Neil for over 30 years. We have travelled all over Britain and Europe playing in golf tournaments together, as well as playing in many Essex County golf teams. Everyone else that travelled with us will testify how much fun it was, especially with Ridders. He was always great fun and a fantastic player. He was at the centre of everything. We love him. Great memories.

Unfortunately last year Neil suffered a Brain Aneurysm Rupture whilst on a family holiday. This medical emergency has left Neil with new challenges. As I write this Neil is still in hospital, where he has been since March 2024. As he prepares to leave and rejoin his family, there is much to do to around the house to make it a home they can all live in together.

With this in mind I am running the London Marathon to raise money for him and his family. It would be great if you can make any donation big or small. It all counts and will be enormously appreciated.
