Marathon for the Schools and Health Foundation
Donation protected
On the 24th of October, I will be running KBC's Virtual Dublin Marathon in order to raise money for the 'Schools and Health Foundation'.
The SHF is a charity that undertakes vital work for rural communities in Africa (Sierra Leone,Malawi,Cameroon, their main work consists of :
-Building schools
-Improving education
-Improving healthcare
I was lucky enough to be one of the girls, chosen to travel to Sierra Leone with the charity in 2021.
We are committed to helping poor and deprived people in Africa and I would massively appreciate your donation, there are no paid employees and all volunteers pay for their own flights, accommodation and food.
Your money will go directly to benefit the cause
The work done so far: We have raised funds to build twelve primary schools and one secondary school in Africa.
There is so much more to do!
I would be especially grateful now more than if you could give anything you can, this is because fundraising is incredibly difficult for the charity due to COVID-19. Africa as a continent has been greatly affected by Covid-19 like everywhere else, but poor countries such as Sierra leone, Malawi and Cameroon have very basic healthcare systems and there are little resources available to them and it is incredibly hard for the people of these countries, so we want to try to do our best to help!
