Marathon for Indreni - Sat Dec 5th

Indreni is a Children's Charity in Nepal supporting children in extreme poverty by providing them with a home and schooling, funding them right through University until they start their careers. I have been involved with the Charity for the last 10 years through my Dad who helps run the charity in Ireland, fundraising, building relationships with the kids and introducing new people to the charity. 

Since COVID-19 hit, Kathmandu have been in lockdown on and off since March which means many cancelled charity trips and a severe drop in donations and fundraising which is the lifeblood of how Indreni survives.

To help out this year, I'm running a marathon in December to raise funds, while also challenging myself to train in the cold weather and complete 42km running in circles around Hyde Park, which will be a mental challenge in itself!

Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated! The company I work for, Salesforce, will also match anything I raise so If I do reach my target of £1,000 - a total of £2,000 will be donated to Indreni before Christmas. To put this in context, £2k would fund 3 children for 1 year.

Here's a photo of me and Ranjana in Kathmandu last year! Ranjana was brought to Indreni 2 years ago by her Grandad who could no longer afford to feed her. She's settled in very well and has made some great friends in the home!
