James, Daisy and Erin are running the Moy Park Belfast City Marathon this year for our Granny Grace.

Our Granny got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year and has been deteriorating ever since. This devastating illness not only impacts her, but our whole family. This illness has disrupted her normal life, leaving her house bound most days. Our whole family is heartbroken to see our Granny suffer.

We wanted to run the marathon to raise funds for a charity who provides crucial support and resources for families dealing with Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s Society works alongside families, giving them support in daily living, educating them about the illness and just being a shoulder to lean on in these tough times. They also fund incredible research to prevent Alzheimer’s from being such a devastating disease.

This cause is so close to our hearts and we really hope to raise awareness about the effect Alzheimer’s has on families! Thank you in advance for all the support in our training and throughout the 26.2 miles!
